Scottish Fire and Rescue Services DVD:

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Services came together to fund the production of a film promoting the role of a modern firefighter in a bid to attract a wider pool of talent into the recruitment process. GovEd were commissioned to carry out the production and assisted us in script completion and creativity. The relationship that we established from the start was excellent and GovEd really took time to understand our needs by constantly focussing on our key objectives - ensuring that the message that we put across was in line with our initial requirements.

There were many challenges in the creation of our film. GovEd responded very well to those that we presented - for example the geographical dimension and the risk based nature of our work. The personal approach that was given to those who had never been filmed before brought out the best in the role model filming and what we have is a 46 minute comprehensive and honest account of the modern Fire and Rescue Service. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

Harris Academy at Peckham DVD
:

I found working with GovEd to be an excellent experience, the team were very professional and made every attempt to be flexible and produce the final promotional DVD to our exact specifications. I am very pleased with the final cut and presentation, they really made an effort to understand the Academy and this really came through in the film.

Milton Keynes Council - 'Woughton Review' documentary and event filming:

The Innovation Unit supports Local Authorities to create locality solutions involving new leadership and governance arrangements - multi-school trusts, locality children's trusts, federated arrangements, co-operatives and mutuals.

GovEd's video both the process of creating it and the product itself, helped us with two key challenges: mobilising and engaging the multiple voices in local communities; and creating an inclusive and accessible locality vision. There was a real sense of partnership on the process, and tremendous intelligence and care to ensure that the finished product honoured the aspirations of the work and that it was inspiring and enabling for participants.

We would definitely use them again.

Liverpool Supporting People Film:

Liverpool City Council Supporting People Team Film commissioned a DVD to demonstrate & illustrate how the Supporting People Programme works in Liverpool. We interviewed several production companies & GovEd submitted an impressive brief which revealed a good knowledge of the Programme & some creative ideas of how to fulfill it. They filmed in Liverpool recording the lives and views of vulnerable service users. It was a difficult & delicate task & required empathy, diplomacy & tact. During the week, the film team were very imaginative, flexible & open to ideas; whilst not losing sight of the brief. The resulting DVD was excellent & viewers of the DVD are left with a lasting & sharply focussed memory of what the Supporting People Programme in Liverpool is all about.

Jeffrey's Story
:

We really enjoyed working with GovEd on Jeffrey's Story - a short docudrama about a teenager's experience being treated for a heart defect and the impact that science had on his life. I was very impressed with the way that the GovEd team delivered a high quality final product, and helped us with ideas on how to disseminate it across social networking sites including bebo, enabling us to effectively target the teenage audience. We had one professional actor play the lead role - who GovEd recruited for us - and other participants played themselves, under the direction of GovEd's Chris Riley. The material is now used more formally in widely disseminated teaching materials.

Project Faraday Documentary
and Project Faraday Animations:

GovEd Communications were also able to draw on their internal expertise as video, animation and digital-media content producers to create a broadcast-standard documentary film about the Project Faraday research, design and stakeholder engagement process, and impressive 3D animations bringing their architectural designs and space-usage concepts to life. GovEd's films demonstrated both their detailed knowledge of educational practice and design, and their creative flare for visual communication. These films will continue to act as valuable training and design resources for future school building projects.

Niko Thomas, Project Manager, Project Faraday, DCSF
